Ljubljana, Slovenia
Tacked on to the end of another ministry trip in May 2013, I was able to spend a weekend with a dear friend living abroad in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This brief visit to Eastern Europe made me eager to return! The picturesque Balkan capital city is small and walkable with a restaurant lined canal winding through Old Town and lots of beautiful green space around the city.
